Amish Sugar Cookies

4 1/2 cups sifted flour
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup confectioners' sugar
1 teaspoon tartar
1 cup oleo
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup oil
1 cup walnuts
1 cup sugar

Sift flour, soda and tartar. Set aside. Cream oleo, oil, sugar and confectioners' sugar until light and fluffy with mixer at medium speed. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat well. Blend in vanilla. Gradually stir in dry ingredients. Add chopped walnuts. Drop by teaspoon full 3 inches apart on greased cookie sheets. Flatten each with glass dipped in sugar. Bake 325 degrees for 10 minutes.
